Shock Lace Dress, $59.99

I have no reason to wear dresses. My office environment is casual, my friends think ‘dinner party’ means a party where you eat, I spend most of my evenings curled up on the sofa watching Battlestar Galactica, my favorite bars all have gum under the seats, and my most regular outing is the dog park.

The problem is, I love dresses. I love reasons to wear them. I also need excuses to buy them, because I really can’t justify a closet full of pretty clothes I never wear. So here is my list of  a few things I’ll be forcing my self and sometimes my girlfriends to do in the coming months:

  • High Tea- My inner Gran demands tiny sandwiches
  • A Day at the Races- even if it’s the Wiener Dog Races, we’re still wearing hats to the track
  • Mad Men Day at Work- who cares if no-one else is doing it, I’m going full Jane Holloway now and then
  • Poker Night- because your poker face looks infinitely better with red lipstick

Ladies? More suggestions? With enough ideas, I could probably justify a new pair of heels, too.
