For those who take their traditional autumn PSL with an extra squirt of pumpkin sauce and a generous shot of “OH DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT HIDEOUS THING?” be sure to check out the utterly terrifying (yet immensely practical!) creations of potter/sculptor Kevin “Turkey” Merck.

Kevin has shared that these brilliantly detailed works are way for him to create “interesting sculpts on traditional utilitarian ceramic ware,” and because each mug is painstakingly handcrafted, custom glazed, and then fired multiple times in a kiln, the entire process involves many hours of hands-on craftsmanship, which in turn limits the total number of mugs created and offered at any given time. Due to the high demand and the limited availability, the mugs often sell out within minutes after being made available!

…which is why you should be scrambling to make a purchase, because The Mummy pre-order launches today! In the meantime, feel free to drool (and possibly gibber in fright) over some of our favorite previous releases from Turkey Merck, below.
